Cadence for Cancer — Finding Endurance Together

Endurance athletes racing to fund cancer research.

Not one heroic sprint. Rhythm, sustained.

Why this exists

Some fights don't have a finish line.

Cancer research runs on sustained funding. Not one headline gift, but steady support that arrives year after year so the work never has to stop.

Endurance sport is full of people who commit to hard things and bring entire communities along with them. Every start line is a room full of them.

We connect the two. That's the whole idea, and there's no limit to how far it goes.

Why cadence

Rhythm is the whole point.

Cadence is the number endurance athletes actually watch — pedal strokes, stride turnover, stroke rate. Not how hard you went once. How well you hold it.

What we're building

Four things, done properly.

01 / Community

Athletes and supporters

A group that trains together, races together, and points the same direction — whatever the distance.

02 / Events

Moving with purpose

Group rides, runs, and a presence at start lines, so training turns into something shared.

03 / Storytelling

Journeys worth following

Stories travel further than statistics. We tell them well, and we tell them honestly.

04 / Research

Lasting impact

Sustained support directed to cancer research institutions, year after year.

Nobody holds a rhythm alone.

How it works

Race under our name.

Step one

Pick your race

Anything from a 5K to an Ironman. Any distance, any sport, any pace.

Step two

Raise your hand

Tell us you're in and we'll add you to the roster.

Step three

Reach further than you think

Your page is open to anyone — the people who know you, and the thousands who don't. One story that travels can fund real research. There's no ceiling on this.

Get on the roster

Our athletes

The start line.

Every name here brings a network behind it. That's how this scales — one athlete at a time, each one reaching further than the last.

On course

September 12, the Cadence for Cancer name goes racing for the first time — on the kit, on the start line, in Madison. After that, look for it everywhere.

The unseen work

Most of it happens where nobody's watching.

Showing up on the days it isn't exciting is the whole discipline — in sport, and in a lab.

Breakthroughs make the news. The years of steady, funded work behind them don't. That's the part we're here to hold up.

Where the money goes

Volunteer-run, by design.

Funds raised are directed to cancer research institutions. That's the entire purpose, and it's worth being plain about how it works.

Everyone volunteers

Athletes race on their own time and directors serve without compensation. Nobody draws a salary here.

One destination

Money raised is directed to cancer research institutions, selected by the board.

We never touch the money

Supporters give through an athlete's fundraising page, so donations never pass through an individual.

From start line to research

How a dollar actually gets there.

01

An athlete commits

They pick a race, join the roster, and put the name on the start line.

02

Supporters give

Donations go to that athlete's fundraising page — never through an individual's hands.

03

The board reviews

Recipients are selected by the board against published criteria — not chosen ad hoc.

04

Research gets funded

Funds are directed to accredited cancer research and treatment institutions.

Our commitment

We haven't named a recipient institution yet — and we won't claim one until it's real. Every organization we fund will be published here before a single dollar moves.
